2 more finishes

I'm not thrilled with the way the scissors holder came out, but I love the pillow.

Ornaments galore

I spent all weekend stitching. I worked on the farm scene which I hate working on. Too much blending, 1/2 stitches, etc. I just don't enjoy it at all but it is for my husband whose only request for Christmas is to have that finished. It reminds him of his mother's house where he grew up. I tried to post a progress pic, but Blogger keeps turning it sideways.

I also put a bit of time into finishing ornaments. I know several of them really aren't Christmasy, but I had no other use for them and I think they will look cute on the tree. They are all freebies from the web.

Elfe Fleurs

I just love the way this turned out. The picture doesn't do it justice though.Freebie available here

Linen

This is my first attempt at stitching on linen. I enjoyed it although it took me a LOT longer to do than it would have on Aida. This is a Prairie Schooler freebie, but I don't have the link anymore. Sorry about the black spot at the bottom, my shutter speed isn't fast enough I guess. I have no clue how to change it.

How cool is this?

I spent a few hours browsing the Needlework Show and I won a door prize from Arachnes Silken Web. I won the First Prosperity Sampler German Sampler Series 4. Isn't it gorgeous? I cant wait to stitch it!

In other good news, I went to Kyle's game last night. They were losing 0-1 with 55.5 seconds left when they scored to tie it up for overtime. Then during OT there was a penalty and we scored to win 2-1! Kyle was pretty happy although he didn't get any playing time. There are no more home games until Family Weekend in October.

Prairie Schooler

I know I have been neglecting my blog. Since Kimber and Kyle are both playing soccer it cuts into my stitching time. I will try to do better :)

Couple of finishes

I finally finished this into a small pillow. The chart can be found here

This cutie is from Just Cross Stitch Premier Halloween Issue. It stitches up super fast.

First day of 2nd grade

Kimber is so excited about school starting and making new friends.
